Hi, I’d like to introduce myself and tell you a little about my background, and how it has led to me creating Fine Art Photography and Digital Art. My name is Paul Magarry, qualified signwriter, artist at heart.
Growing up in Lismore NSW gifted me a carefree, active upbringing throughout my childhood and teenage years. Spending much of my time before, after and sometimes during school enjoying all the spoils of the pristine coastal beaches near our family home. The pure innocence and wondrous beauty of the natural surroundings and unique atmosphere inspired the artistic curiosity within me, eventually
steering me towards my other great passion, photography and digital art.
The landscapes and atmospheres in our environment (city or country) can appear in an array of colours and textures, prints and patterns, images and designs, seamlessly transferring into every form of artistic creativity. All of which have the ability to awaken our senses and ignite our memories, bringing much beauty and joy to our lives. I believe there is an artist in us all!
Fine Art Photography is any photography in which the vision of an artist behind the camera is presented rather than the objective reality of whatever subject the camera is pointed at. This status can be ascribed to photography based upon its critical reception and due to the intent behind its creation, which differs from other forms of photography. Fine art photography can be created with all types of cameras that shoot stills, as it is the artist rather than the tools they use that determines the
artistry of a photograph.
